Blogging and passion

I guess this picture represents what I feel about blogging.
Blogging is addictive, as Carla mentioned, and the first time I was exposed to it I just loved. Since then, I've been blogging with my groups, at least trying to. It's a great form of communication and interaction with them, even though it has not given the results I expect yet. Maybe I am expecting too much. Well, anyway, blogging also requires authority, for the teacher needs to create provocative posts to make his Ss wish to write. I guess my blog journey is just in the beginning and I'll need much more practice to really get my Ss into it.

Are my students learning?

Wow! Watching those videos kept me thinking. Are my Ss really learning? If they learn better digitally, then I still have a lot to do to reach them. My curriculum doesn't provide much tech-richness, and that's why I need this course. I use very few internet resources with my Ss, I know. Each of my classes has a blog I try to use to help me with my teaching. I see most of my Ss enjoy it, but there are a lot more to explore. In the 21st century, a class that doesn use learning engines is not really teaching. That's why I need to work harder to engage my classes more and better. However, I can't always rely on computers for my classes, for sometimes they have let me down. I've prepared online activities and when I took my Ss to the computer lab, boom! The internet connection wasn't working and I had to come up with something new. It happens!

a nossa maneira de ser.”
